Biography

Bill McHolick obtained a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from OSU. He joined Shell Oil Company in its Exploration and Production Division and worked as both a process engineer and a project engineer in the Gas Plant Department. McHolick joined Shell’s Strategic Planning Departments in Houston and Brunei. Leaving Shell, he joined BHP Billiton as the vice president of strategic planning and external affairs in Australia. He became vice president of BHP’s Australia Production Operations in Perth. Back in Houston, he took the position of senior vice present of BHP Billiton’s deepwater business unit in the Gulf of Mexico, a position that gave him financial responsibility for the company’s oil and natural gas assets in production in the Gulf of Mexico. Retiring from BHP Billiton, McHolick is now a consulting director for the Engineering and Production Facilities Division of the Wood Group.
